Yesterday's budget saw, for the first time, a real commitment from the Government to invest in the childcare sector. There is still a lot of work to do to bring Ireland in line with other EU member states but this increased investment is a step in the right direction and a sign that our sector is finally being seen as essential to society and the economy.
