Role:

To support and assist in the provision of a full time day care of the highest quality, in a holistic setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be willing to work with children of various ages from babies to after school children.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, such a nappy changing, toileting, sterilising, feeding, nap supervision and engaging in play.
  • Conduct observations & learning stories for key children.
  • Follow the policies & procedures of the service at all times.
  • Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment and toys after use.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for different age groups.
  • Maintain room and equipment to ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
  • Ensure a good standard of hygiene.
  • Organise materials and toys to the benefit of children throughout the day.
  • Support children’s developments – emotional, social, physical and cognitive in carrying out activities.
  • Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
  • Be aware of Child Protection Procedures and advise manager should you have any concerns about a child.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality – any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct.
  • Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Perform school collections as per collections policy.
  • Weekly planning & emerging interests.
  • Floor books & interest tables.

Candidates must hold a minimum of Fetac Level 5 (or recognised equivalent) in a Childcare qualification and must have relevant experience in a similar role.

Role:

. Assisting in developing, co-ordinating and directing varied activities involved in the Pre-Schhol Programme.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Floor books & interest tables.
  • Ability to carry out child centred observations, including learning stories and share them with both children and families.
  • Strong awareness of and confidence in child protection regulations and Children first. Including the ability to analyse sensitive situations and create strategies and action plans where necessary.
  • Ability to assist n the design and implementation of a holistic, child centred curriculum for children aged between 3 and 5 years.
  • Ability to plan and assess all aspects of the curriculum and observations through Síolta and Aistear; the National Curriculum Framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lámh; Communication Augmentation Sign System.
  • Providing a child centred and exciting environment for children to explore each day.
  • Support children’s developments – emotional, social, physical and cognitive in carrying out activities.
  • Attend meetings and undergo training as required.

Candidate will be based our after school facility in St. Patrick’s National School, Diswellstown, Dublin 15

Role:

Assisting in developing, co-ordinating and directing varied activities involved in the After School Care Programme

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programmes.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for this age group.
  • Maintain room and equipment to ensure the health and safety of children at all times
  • Ensure a good standard of hygiene.
  • Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
  • Be aware of all policies and follow same,
  • Be aware of Child Protection procedures and advise manager should you have any concernts about a child.
  • Supervise homework activities.
  • Accompany children to and from school.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality – any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct.
  • Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Perform collections as per Collection Policy
  • Carry out weekly planning to include themes, observations, keyworker system.

Candidates must hold a minimum of Fetac Level 5 in a Childcare qualification and must have relevant experience in a similar role. Experience with children of school-going age is prefereable. Full clean drivers licence required.

20 hours per week – Monday to Friday for 38 weeks (Sept – June, for duration of ECCE programme.

Candidate will be based our ECCE pre-school in Ongar Community Centre, Dublin 15.

Assisting in developing, co-ordinating and directing varied activities involved in the Pre-School Programme.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Floor books & interest tables.
  • Ability to carry out child centred observations, including learning stories and share them with both children and families.
